Hand-painted textile and wallpaper design, rooted in travel, nature and commercial understanding.

Where artistic expression meets commercial understanding.

About me

Handpainting in my own print!

After studying a BA in Textiles and Surface Design, my career working in-house within the wallpaper industry, where I gained valuable experience developing commercially driven collections for interior brands and retailers. This environment gave me a deep understanding of how design translates beyond concept, and how to balance creativity with commerciality. I learnt more about what makes a balanced repeat, colour architecture through to a variety of production methods including digital and rotary printing.

Working closely within a commercial setting taught me how to balance creativity with the realities of manufacturing, timelines and market positioning. It shaped the way I approach design today. I design with a view of not just as an artistic process, but as something that must perform, function and sit cohesively within a wider collection.

Over time, my practice has evolved beyond surface pattern into a broader exploration of how design shapes interiors and the experience of a space. I became increasingly interested in storytelling. How pattern, colour and composition can influence atmosphere and create a deeper emotional connection within an environment, and continuously developing my hand painted skills in several mediums and approaches.

Today, I work as an independant designer specialising in wallpaper and interior collections, collaborating with interior brands, designers and creative businesses.

My work begins with hand-painting allowing each design to hold a sense of movement, texture and individuality before being refined digitally for production.

This balance between traditional craft and modern processes allows designs to feel both expressive and commercially viable whilst being easy to edit and refine.

I’m driven by a desire to create work that feels meaningful and considered, whilst creating the desired emotion.  Design, for me, is not just about how something looks, but how it makes people feel which can come from memories of travel and nature, creating a sense of calm, inspiration, nostalgia or impact within a space.

I believe the most successful designs are those that carry a narrative — something that connects visually, emotionally and contextually to the environment they exist within.

My Values

Every design begins by hand. I believe the subtle imperfections and detail of hand-painted work bring a richness that cannot be replicated digitally.

Each concept is developed from a deeper narrative than just trend, whether inspired by nature, travel, historical reference or a broader theme.

Design must work in the real world. I consider repeat, scale, colour balance and production from the outset to ensure designs are not only beautiful, but viable. This doesn't mean so far refined that the craft is lost. It simply makes the vision work across the selected product in a considered way.

The best work comes from open dialogue. I work closely with clients to refine ideas, challenge thinking and develop outcomes that feel aligned and considered.
